4Kids- Should I be Grateful or Should I be Enraged?

Reading various forums, I have seen that a majority of the people violently curse 4Kids for what it has done to their beloved Tokyo Mew Mew. But in the end, is really worth getting so angry over? Bad dubs are a part of anime. From Nelevana's horrid rendition of Cardcaptors to 4Kids' SHADOW REALM filled Yu-Gi-Oh, some of the best anime to ever be made have been turned into mere marketing tools. So, 4Kids decided to acquire Tokyo Mew Mew to try and increase the number of female viewers. They Americanized the show, gave it the "catchy" slogan, "Making the world safe for dating!", gave the first episode an incredibly punny name, "The Mew Kids in Town", and will probably make pointless cuts, jokes, insert songs, and other wonderful things. But is it really worth threatening to blow up 4Kids Headquarters over? Yes, they have taken a show and butchered into some monster akin to Frankenstein, but... what good will getting angry do? I don't see much of a point in getting mad anymore. Just look at what they do, and laugh. You can't change it. You can't make them release uncut DVDs. You can't stop them from releasing it. So just watch the show, and try to enjoy it-either for entertainment value, or just for laughter. This message was paid for by the Committee for Anubi for World Ruler.
