4Kids Formally Announces Mew Mew Power (February 18th, 2005)

4Kids released a PDF document stating that Mew Mew Power is joining their lineup. A quote from the document: "The popular Japanese-based animated property follows the adventures of five girls who possess the powers of endangered animals and must battle aliens who want to destroy mankind. Since these are contemporary teenage girls, they are "multi-taskers" who accomplish all of this while juggling their time with homework and boys. Their saga begins when an ordinary high school girl becomes infused with the DNA of a nearly extinct wildcat. Transformed into a crime-fighting cat, she must find the rest of her crew so together they can save earth ... Only time will tell if these teen girls, these super natural heroes, will be up to the challenge!" At least they got the basic idea of the series down.
