(Sudden Love! Accept Girls' Hearts!)
2002-09-07
22 "I've Got a Crush on Mew" 2005-10-29
Summary here

For the amount of "silly teen girl" speak, this episode ended up doing well. Except for that one XBOX HUEG cut.

A decent episode, actually. There was that massive cut, but elsewhere it seemed to be pretty good. The Mini-Rap made a comeback, and it's as lovely as ever. =D Megan and Mimi had rather abrasive personalities, stereotypical teenage girl.
3 more episodes left in the season~

The script was on, but it wasn't too hard to keep. Only thing changed was having every character be a little more snarky, but that's usual.

For reference, Moe (blonde haired) is Megan in the dub, and Miwa (brown haired) is Mimi. I'm sure I'm not the only one that gets them mixed up.

The Cafe Mew Mew sign is re-text'd, complete with bad grammar. The sign says "gotta" instead of "got a"

The garage door in Miwa's flashback is re-text'd with graffiti.

(3 seconds) Moe's face surrounded by the generic love border (shiny bubbles) is cut.

(61 seconds) *grabs Longest Cut ribbon from episode 13 and sticks it here* The ENTIRE Ichigo/Aoyama scene at the school is cut.

The alien scene is moved as usual, this time to after the rooftop scene between Ichigo, Moe, and Miwa. Also moved is the scene from the beginning with the lake.

As usual, the computer screen is de-text'd.

"Well, I hope you don't mind lemon zinger."
"Sounds zingy!"

Zing reminds me of the bees from Donkey Kong Country.

The signs at the shopping mall are de-text'd.

(8 seconds) Ichigo thinking about Aoyama while looking at him and blushing is cut short.

Mmm, a new insert song. Look at the lyrics here

(3 seconds) The view of the girls' feet as they walk to the cafe is cut short.

(8 seconds) The shot of the presents in the cafe is cut, along with part of Ichigo speaking.

(7 seconds) A shot of the rippling water is cut.

(7 seconds and 3 seconds) Beginning and end of Ichigo's transformation. Another long gap without this little guy. And along with him, comes an inserted MINI-RAP!

(9 seconds) The other Mews appearing and being all *glare* to Kishu is cut. I guess it was done to make it more of an Ichigo-centric episode.

Also, in the above scene, Kishu originally remarks that it's just a drop of Mew Aqua. Dren says that there is "something different" about it. They'll probably say that it's some more powerful kind later or something.

The close-up shot of the other four girls is moved to the end of the episode and reversed.

(4 seconds) The original ending (a shot of the top of the cafe) is replaced the with above edit.
